Application Process:
Inquiry & Information Session (Week 1): Learn about the program and ask questions.
Application Submission (Week 1-2): Submit your application, including relevant details and a statement of interest.
Interview & Selection (Week 2-3): Interviews for selected candidates with notifications of acceptance within the week.
Program Timeline for Individual Providers:
Orientation (Week 3): Understand objectives, expectations, and the path towards becoming a certified childcare provider.
Licensing Preparation (Week 3-4):
Register for background checks at ORO.
Complete required online training (IRF1, ICCHS, RRCAN, Safe Sleep).
Schedule a health and safety visit.
Skills Training (Week 4-5): Develop curriculum-building skills, child safety, and other childcare competencies.
Assistance with Licensing (Week 5-6): Apply skills and guidance in preparing for necessary licensing to operate.
Evaluation & Licensing (End of Week 8): Receive certification and necessary licensing to operate as a childcare provider.
Post-Completion Benefits:
Certification: Receive a certificate verifying your newly acquired childcare skills.
