APANO plays a key role in delivering a free home energy assessment program designed to help low- to moderate-income households, communities of color, and other underserved groups improve energy efficiency and create healthier living spaces.
Through on-site visits, trained professionals assess insulation, appliances, heating and cooling systems, and more to identify areas of energy loss and health risks. Homeowners receive tailored recommendations and a detailed report outlining suggested upgrades, estimated costs, and potential savings. As an enrolled organization in the Community Partner Funding (CPF) program, APANO is able to offer increased incentives to qualifying clients, making it easier for them to implement recommended improvements. Eligible homes must be serviced by specific utility providers and fall within defined housing types, such as single-family homes and small multifamily units.
